Croatian European corner – Friday, May 9th at 2.00 pm – French Market. Chef Michael DeVidts of New Orleans School of Cooking will demonstrate Croatian Bean Soup: Grah I Varivah. Samples will be offered and a complimentary pair of tickets to NOSOC for a cooking demonstration class will be raffled off to attendees. Event is free.
Spanish European corner – Saturday, May 10th at 2.00 pm – French Market. Casa de España will be preparing some ‘salmorejo’ and ‘tortilla de patata’ served with Spanish style bread. Live music by Javier Gutiérrez of Vivaz (vivazmusic.com). Event is free.

Austrian European corner - Sunday, May 11th at 2.00 pm – French Market. Austrian cooking demonstration by Chef Liz Gober of Soulbred Kitchen. She will be creating one of the flagship Austrian dishes, Weiner Schnitzel, an authentic austrian dish that has had an interesting journey through American cuisine. Event is free.

The film is set in the year 2026, in the extraordinary Gothic skyscrapers of a corporate city-state, the Metropolis of the title.
